SEFHA is excited to welcome Olympic gold medallist and New York Sirens captain Micah Zandee-Hart to Moncton this Labour Day weekend for a special event focused on female hockey, development, and inspiring the next generation of players.

The weekend will give young female hockey players the opportunity to take the ice with Micah and learn directly from her during small-group on-ice sessions, followed by a special luncheon featuring Micah as our guest speaker.

Friday, September 4 — On-Ice Sessions with Micah

Micah will be on the ice with each group, working directly with players during their 90-minute session.

To provide the best possible experience for our registered players, the original three-group format has been adjusted to two on-ice groups.

All sessions will take place at Rink C at the Greenfoot Energy 4-Plex in Moncton.

• Younger Group — 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  U7, U9 and 2015-born U13 players

• Older Group — 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  2014-born U13 players, U15 and U18

Players will have the opportunity to skate, participate in drills and interact with Micah throughout their session.

Registered families will receive confirmation of their player’s assigned group and other arrival information directly by email.

Players must bring full hockey equipment for their on-ice session. Commemorative event jerseys will be provided to registered players at the event.

Saturday, September 5 — Luncheon & Keynote with Micah

The weekend continues Saturday at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Beauséjour in Moncton, with the luncheon beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Following the luncheon, Micah will share stories from her hockey journey, including representing Canada on the international stage, winning Olympic gold, and playing professional hockey as captain of the New York Sirens.

For young female players in our region, it is a unique opportunity to spend time with and learn from someone who has reached the highest levels of the game — both on the ice and away from the rink.

Each player registration includes:

• 90-minute on-ice session with Micah

• Admission to the luncheon and keynote

• Commemorative event jersey

• Autographed photo
